As usual the best way to watch is on a playlist, if you are one of those who is struggling to find playlists on a smart TV instructions are below
This week there will be a Faith ‘n Fun playlist as well as the usual worship list, the videos now go live at 8:30am on a Sunday morning.  The playlist for 7 February will be there on Sunday but only the music will be public on 31 January, the videos will go live a week later.

If YouTube is not an option for you then we do now have a phone line which has a small part of the service on it, the phone number is 01458552155 and it is updated on a Saturday, the service is then there for a week.

I have attached Morning Prayer for Sunday and for Thursday (the latter is for the Zoom Morning Prayer on a Thursday!)

Ash Wednesday is on 17 February and the service will be on Zoom at 7:30pm and it will then be uploaded onto YouTube ready for Thursday morning (or later on Wednesday evening). 

In the meantime I hope that you stay well and stay safe, it is great to hear that many of you have had vaccinations

I understand that some of you are struggling to access the playlists if you’re watching on a smart TV so here are some step by step instructions:
Select the purple circle that comes up when you search for Wheathill benefice
Once selected, scroll down through the menu items, on my TV the order is something like: Uploads, Past livestreams, Playlists
Once you select playlist you should then see the playlists with their dates and select the relevant date

Headlines:
Bible Book Club now corrected to John, I made a mistake in the book we agreed to, summary document attached Phone Church should start this Sunday, assuming I manage to negotiate the technology!  The phone number is 01458552155 and so should be free for most people.  I think that I’m going to put a reading, the reflection and prayers of intercession there, please don’t try before Sunday morning, but it should then be available for the following week.

The Service will be on YouTube in full on Sunday you can, as usual, find it here  We’re using the order for Spiritual Communion which is attached, as is the ‘Prayers in a time of Corona virus’ Document that we first issued in April 2020, so you probably still have it!

Headlines this week

The benefice council has decided to recommend to PCCs that all worship continues online only at the moment.  You can find the weekly service on our YouTube site here

If you are unable to use YouTube, we would like to know if it would be helpful for you to be able to phone a local dial number and listen to the weekly reflection and intercessions, so please phone Jane (preferably in the next week) to let her know.
The parish magazine will be in print this month.
All other details are on the bulletin attached along with the order of service for Sunday (Morning Prayer for Epiphany) and the reflection and prayers.  The prayers on YouTube will be different.

Happy New Year and welcome to this week’s worship at home!

Headlines for this week

Although this lockdown does still allow public worship is still allowed, we are still on our ‘pause’ benefice council will discuss the situation and our options on Thursday of this week, along with other matters including the benefice magazine.  Therefore we’re still utilising YouTube services, as a playlist as usual, with a paper copy included with the mailing or delivered to those who are not online.

So you can find this week’s worship on YouTube here

While you’re there you might like to look at the choir and the Christmas playlists, which have many of the choir carols in them as well as worship from Christmas Eve.

It also seems sensible to hold a ‘Zoom’ Morning Prayer each week, this is on a Thursday at 9am.  Sunday morning coffee is at 10:00am.   Zoom details for both of these are attached.  The end dates are somewhat arbitrary but I hope this gives us some ways to continue to meet together.  I have attached the order for Morning Prayer in Epiphany.
