The Wheathill Benefice Choir draws its members from the villages of Keinton Mandeville, West Lydford, Barton St David, Butleigh & the surrounding area. We began as a choir formed, for 6 weeks, to sing for the Christmas services in 2015 but have been singing ever since. We now meet regularly throughout the year for Church Festivals, monthly Benefice services and other occasions.

The pictures above were taken when we had an amazing picnic in glorious sunshine, then sang to entertain those visiting the Chapel of the Bishop’s Palace, Wells on 12 June 2022 and when we sang at the Barton St David Queen’s Jubilee celebrations on 5 June 2022.

We come from all walks of life, all are welcome to join and to come and praise God with our love of singing. During the pandemic the choir made numerous recordings of hymns and anthems with some fun pieces as well, which were used for online services and, once our churches were open again, to provide ‘live’ music from familiar voices and faces!
