Sunday 30 May

Good afternoon

This week’s bulletin is attached with news of worship and other events this week.

Our worship on Sunday takes place in Keinton village hall, inside (so hopefully we won’t be cold!) at 10:30am.  Our friends from the Methodist Chapel will join us and the service will be taken by Craig and myself.

6 June we’re in Barton St David at 8:30 for Morning Prayer and Keinton Mandeville at 10:30 for Holy Communion.

We hope that you have a good Bank Holiday on Monday and that maybe the weather will allow us some warmth and something that is closer to summer….

We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Best wishes

Sunday 23 May

Welcome to this week’s mailing.

This Sunday we’re worshipping outside in Kingweston [I’m hoping the weather forecast will improve!] so please come prepared. We will have a few chairs but if you can bring your own that would be much appreciated.

In the afternoon at 4pm we’ll be outside in Keinton Mandeville exploring the day of Pentecost together.

Barton and Lydford both have their annual meetings this week, Barton on Monday at 7:00pm, Lydford on Wednesday at 7:30.

Please do come to the relevant meeting, it is an opportunity to hear about the events of the past year, to look at the financial situation and to look ahead to this year.

At Keinton’s Annual Meeting last Sunday, Stephen Jenkins, Jane Sedgman and Rachel Willcox were re-elected as church wardens and we thank all those who serve in this and many other ways.

How are you getting on with reading the book of Daniel? We’re going to talk about it together on 2 June in Lydford Church, I sent a sheet about it with last week’s mailing.

Best wishes

Jane

Sunday 16 May

Please find attached the Bulletin for this week and the Bible Book Club notes on Daniel

This evening, Thursday 13 May, at 7pm we have a service of Holy Communion in Kingweston, the sun is shining now but we took the decision at lunch time that the showers are just too heavy and unpredictable so we will be inside not outside, with the choir singing for us.

Sunday our worship is:

8:30am Holy Communion in Barton St David

10:30 Morning Worship in Keinton Mandeville

As usual we hope to livestream or record the 10:30 am service: if recorded it will be uploaded after Keinton Annual Meeting has concluded.

This evening’s worship will also be recorded and uploaded.

Bible Book Club meets on 2 June at 7:30pm, we’re reading the book of Daniel which is quite challenging in parts, the attached sheet may help you in your reading.

Thank you and best wishes

Sunday 9 May

Good afternoon

This week’s bulletin is attached.

Sunday worship is in Lydford Churchyard at 10:30am, with the choir and we will be singing!  (There may also be animals/seeds/earth/water etc present as this is a rogation service).

Forecast at the moment is for 15 degrees with ‘light cloud & fresh breeze’ but that changes quite regularly so please dress appropriately and bring a chair with you, if possible.

I live in hope that we’ll manage a livestream…

I hope that all is well with you.

Best wishes
