The notice sheet for this week is attached.

Our worship on Sunday is a Benefice service of Holy Communion for Rogationtide at 1030 in Lydford on Fosse and we hope to be outside enjoying the creation and world around us. However, if it is too windy, or cold, we’ll be inside!!

Many of you will have heard by now of the death of The Rev’d Paddy Craig last Saturday (30 April). His service of thanksgiving will take place in Lydford on Fosse on 1 June 2022 at 2:30pm. Please do continue to pray for Jan and the family at this time.

The Bible Course meets again this week in The Rectory at 7:30pm on Wednesday.

The service of thanksgiving for Ralph Berry’s father takes place in Sherborne Abbey on Wednesday 11 May at 11:30am.

This morning 10 Downing Street has announced that the next Bishop of Bath and Wells will be the Rt Rev Michael Beasley. I’ve included some of the details from this announcement in the bulletin attached to this message and the full details are on the Benefice website [Stop Press page].

Our worship this week is:

                10:30am Morning Prayer in Lydford on Fosse.

Our annual parish meetings are continuing, the next two are:

                15 May 2022 in Keinton at 11:30am

                22 May 2022 in Barton at 11:30am

If you’re on the electoral roll of either parish please do plan to attend if at all possible, to hear about the past year and to think about the next one!

Welcome to our mailing for the week. Our worship on Sunday is:

                10:30am Holy Communion Barton St David

                4:00pm Faith ‘n Fun Keinton Mandeville.

The Bible Course begins on Wednesday at 7:30pm in The Rectory, all are welcome.

We’re also starting to plan for a holiday club run with Keinton Methodist Chapel and have an initial meeting on Wednesday 4 May 7:30pm in the Chapel (downstairs). If you are interested in helping but can’t come to the meeting, then please do speak to me.

Good Morning

I’ve attached the bulletin for this week.

Today is Maundy Thursday and we have a service of Holy Communion at 7pm in Kingweston, we plan to livestream this as well.

Good Friday our worship is:

10:30am Morning Prayer, with hymns in Keinton Mandeville

2:00pm ‘At the foot of the Cross’ a devotional service of readings and hymns in Lydford on Fosse

Holy Saturday there will be Easter Garden decorating and an Easter Egg Hunt in Lydford Churchyard

Easter Day our worship is:

8:30am Holy Communion in Barton St David

10:30am Holy Communion in Lydford on Fosse (We’re going to be inside)

On Saturday 23 April there is a parish coffee morning and plant sale, plus bric a brac etc in Barton Village Hall from 10:00am – 12:00

Next Sunday 24 April our worship is:

8:30am Morning Prayer Lydford on Fosse

10:30am Holy Communion Barton St David

4:00pm Faith ‘n Fun Keinton Churchyard (which will include an Easter Egg Hunt!)

After Easter we’re going to do ‘The Bible Course’ which is prepared by The Bible Society, you can find you can find the details here

I’d like to suggest that we do this on Wednesday evenings:

27/4, 11/5, 18/5, 1/6, 15/6, 22/6, 6/7, 13/7 all at 7:30pm

It will help if those coming have a manual which I’m happy to order, but it would be good to know if you’re planning to be there, then I’ll know how many to order. If you can let me know by Wednesday of next week (20/4) that would be helpful.
