Sunday 6 November

This week’s bulletin is attached.

On Saturday Hayley will be confirmed in Taunton Minster at a service beginning at 2pm, please let me know if you’d like to go.

Our worship on Sunday is:

8:30am Holy Communion Barton St David

10:30am Morning Prayer and Tree planting at Kingweston for the Queen’s Green Canopy in Kingweston, all are welcome.  We look forward to welcoming some of the Millfield boarders from Kingweston House and trustees of the estate to this service.

On Friday 11 November there will be Acts of Remembrance in Barton St David and Keinton Mandeville, both starting at 10:50 am, we look forward to welcoming Year 6 from Keinton School to Keinton Church again this year.

Next Sunday, 13 November, is Remembrance and we’ll be worshipping around the War Memorial in Lydford on Fosse. If you are able to bring your own chairs (and weather appropriate clothing!) please do, but there will be some provided. The service will begin at 10:45am.

I’m sorry to let you know of the death of Diny Marshall whose funeral will take place on 17 November at 11:30am in Mendip Crematorium.

My Sabbatical (Ministerial Development leave) is drawing near, Remembrance Sunday will be my final Sunday in the benefice before I go, I am working the following week, and finish on Friday 18 November. During my time away this bulletin, Morning Prayer and services will continue as usual, and you will be able to contact someone using the benefice mobile: 07421700242. This is the number to use for pastoral concerns, funerals etc. If you have any questions about arrangements, please do ask me in the next two weeks or a Churchwarden/Benefice Council member.

Best wishes
