Sunday 2 August 2020

Welcome to your weekly mailing for Sunday 2 August, how did that happen?  I hope that as we continue to adjust, wearing facemasks etc you remain well.

Please do continue to pray for all those whose lives have been adversely affected by Corona virus and for churches as we seek to discern next steps.  Our benefice council will discuss when and how churches can reopen for worship on the 4 August.  We’ve had good conversations in the churches across the benefice, working out how the churches can be safe welcoming and what we need to do in order to recommence worship in church buildings.

This week’s service is all on this sheet: 2020 08 02 Trinity 8.  You can find the service here: Wheathill Benefice YouTube Playlist.

The Morning Prayer readings for next week are:

Monday 3 August Psalm 30, 1 Samuel 14:24-46, Luke 23:13-25

Tuesday 4 August Psalm 36, 1 Samuel 15:1-23, Luke 23:26-43

Wednesday 5 August Psalm 34, 1 Samuel 16, Luke 23:44-56a

Thursday 6 August Psalm 27, 1 Kings 19:1-16, 1 John 3:1-3

Friday 7 August Psalm 31, 1 Samuel 17:31-54, Luke 24: 13-35

Saturday 8 August Psalm 42, 1 Samuel 17:55-18:16, Luke 24:36-end

I hope that you continue to keep well, and look forward to seeing some of you face to face in the next few weeks!
