Annual Parish Meetings

It is that time of year when we’re preparing for our annual parish meetings which will take place on:

26 April in Barton St David

3 May in Lydford on Fosse

17 May in Keinton Mandeville

All immediately after morning Worship, starting around 1200.

We will be electing PCC and Deanery Synod members, would you like to stand, please do speak to Jane or a Warden if you’re interested.  We also need more wardens again if interested please speak to Jane or one of the current wardens.

Barton St David Plant Sale 16 May

As we begin to get ready for our Barton St David plant sale fundraiser in May, we’re hoping some of you might be willing to help by growing plants to donate.

If you enjoy starting plants from seed, dividing perennials, or potting up extras from your garden, your contribution would make a huge difference. All proceeds from the sale go toward supporting Barton church and every plant—big or small—helps!

Bath and West Show: Once again we’ve been asked if we can help and provide a team for the Church Tent, between 28-30 May, please let Jane know if you’re interested.

Forthcoming Funerals

We’ve been asked to let people know of the funeral of Anne Hargrove who lived at The Swallows in Barton St David and died on 3 March. It is on 14 April 2026 at 11:30am at Mendip Crematorium, further details are available from Forseys.

The Funeral of David Marten of Lydford will take place on Saturday 18 April at 11am in West Lydford Church

As we begin to get ready for our Barton St David plant sale fundraiser in May, we’re hoping some of you might be willing to help by growing plants to donate.

Barton St David Potato Growing Competition

This Sunday (15/3) we’re launching a Potato growing competition in Barton St David (similar to the one Lydford Gardening Club are doing!)

For a donation you will receive a bucket and potato to plant, further details will come next week, but please do join in and grow (maybe you can try both the gardening club potatoes and Barton potatoes and see which thrives better!).
