Looking ahead to the Autumn – have you wondered about helping out with reading or prayers, or setting up church?

We need some more volunteers to help read, lead us in prayer and set up the churches. We will hold three evenings to think about what is involved in each of these. If you already pray/read or set up please feel free to come along as well, both to help us all think together and so we can talk about what we do.

The evenings are:-

4 September – Reading in Church in Keinton Mandeville.

25 September – Leading Prayers in Lydford on Fosse.

1 October – Setting up and welcoming in Barton St David.

We will then start our series on the Nicene Creed on 16 October at the Rectory.

Sunday 14 September. Visit from Brother Hugh a Franciscan from the Hilfield Community in Dorset who will be speaking on Eco church and our response to the Environment, followed by a bring and share lunch (finger food please) in Barton Village Hall.

The Shanty night makes a welcome return on 13 September from 7:00pm in Keinton Village Hall, tickets from Trevor Ryder and others!

Lydford are celebrating Harvest with a meal on 19 September, tickets £20 from Ralph Berry.
